Rowan Simpson, President (Student, Msc Business and Management)
Rowan is currently studying on the MSc Business and Management (MBM) programme, which she hopes to convert to an MBA following full time exposure to management processes and issues. Before commencing her business studies, Rowan graduated from the University of Strathclyde with a 1st Class honours degree in Law with distinction in the spoken language of Italian. Following periods of study in both Italy and China, Rowan is fascinated by the effects of globalisation on the European economy. She is honoured to be part of such a culturally diverse team and hopes that the Strathclyde Business Network will give a range of students the opportunity to forge invaluable links with industry.
Florian Wienke, Co-President (Student, Msc Entrepreneurial Management & Leadership)
Florian is a postgraduate student at the Hunter Centre for Entrepreneurship, Strategy and Innovation studying Entrepreneurial Management and Leadership. Before this he was working over six years in the financial services sector in Germany. In his last position he was responsible for the refinancing of the Norwegian, Czech and Spanish subsidiaries of a huge German financial institution. Besides working he completed his undergraduate study in Business Administration. After some first steps in working on his own ideas he decided to study Entrepreneurship to bring his ideas into reality and set up his own business in the future.
Emilie Ranaivoson, Head of Marketing & Communication (Student, Msc Entrepreneurship, Innovation & Technology)
Emilie is a studying for her MSc in Entrepreneurship, Innovation and Technology. She holds a BDes (Hons) in Interior and Environmental Design, and a MDes in Interior Architecture. Before studying for Entrepreneurship, Emilie was working as a design consultant, for three years, in a kitchen and bedroom design company. Due to her creative mind, she wanted to start learning about how to open her own business, and improve her marketing skills.
Fun fact : Emilie is french, so don't be fooled by her scottish accent.
Felix Honecker, Head of Planning & Strategy (Student, Msc Entrepreneurship, Innovation & Technology)
Felix is currently studying on the MSc Entrepreneurship, Innovation & Technology at Strathclyde's Hunter Centre for Entrepreneurship, Strategy and Innovation. Before moving to Glasgow, he finished his undergraduate degree in Business Management for Small and Medium-sized enterprises in Germany. He could gain initial entrepreneurial experience while working for his family’s business. Furthermore, he worked for the internal consultancy of a German tier 1 automotive supplier.
Maryline Kiptoo, Co-Head of Planning & Strategy (Student, Msc International Management)
Maryline is a postgraduate student at the Strathclyde Business School, studying MSc. International Management. She is passionate about developing entrepreneurship especially in Kenya and Africa. She is the founder of Kustawi, a platform that shares useful resources and content for budding entrepreneurs with the aim of helping early stage businesses grow their enterprises and secure funding. Prior to joining Strathclyde, she worked at Cytonn Investments as the Cytonn Foundation Coordinator, where she was responsible for leading and administrating initiatives focused on developing the entrepreneurial culture and financial literacy in Kenya.She also holds a degree in BSc.Financial Engineering.
Elias Fuchs, Project Manager (Student, Msc International Management)
Elias is a Master’s student in International Management at the Strathclyde Business School. A year ago, he graduated with a bachelor's degree in Political Economy in Switzerland. During his studies, he gained several working experiences. He worked as a ski instructor and in the sales sector for a Swiss outdoor company both for more than six years. Before he came to Glasgow he worked at the economic promotion of a Swiss canton, where he was responsible for research, as well as marketing and customer service.
Adrian Pascu, Project Manager (Student, Bachelors(Hons) Business Administration)
Adrian is an undergraduate student at the Strathclyde Business School, studying his Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, being currently the only undergraduate of the team. Despite the fact that he is still young he made the most of his time getting experience by doing internships. The latest one was over 3 months period at EY Romania, where he had a valuable experience, having the opportunity to apply what he leant throughout his university years. He is always willing to discover new things and he is also passionate about sports.
