How did you make the decision to study at Strathclyde?
I chose Strathclyde because of its strong reputation for computing and AI research, its location in Glasgow, and how easy the staff were to deal with while I was preparing my application from overseas.
"The admissions team were responsive and supportive throughout, which made the whole process of applying internationally feel straightforward and reassuring."
What aspects of the programme and your experience at Strathclyde did you find most valuable?
The most valuable parts of the programme were the hands-on project work and the opportunity to apply machine learning and data analysis techniques to real problems, including gaining familiarisation with working on huge datasets.
The support from academic staff and the collaborative atmosphere among classmates also made a big difference to how much I got out of the course.

My MSc gave me strong foundations in data analysis, machine learning, and problem-solving, which I use every day in my current role.
What have you been up to since graduating from your course?
Since graduating, I have been working as an Assessment Delivery Executive at the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries, where I manage assessment data across dozens of qualifications, build Power BI dashboards, and use automation tools to streamline exam delivery processes.

My MSc gave me strong foundations in data analysis, machine learning, and problem-solving, which I use every day in my current role from building dashboards and automating workflows to making data-driven decisions that support assessment delivery.
What would you say to anyone thinking of coming to study at Strathclyde?
Strathclyde offers a great balance of academic rigour and hands-on practical experience, and the skills you build will open doors across many industries, not just tech.
