How did you make the decision to study at Strathclyde?

The MSc Pharmaceutical Analysis course content strongly motivated me to pursue my studies at the University of Strathclyde. It is well-designed and offers a blend of fundamental principles and modern analytical techniques. I can closely relate this curriculum to my professional experience.  

What aspects of the programme and your experience at Strathclyde did you find most valuable?

I found the entire programme highly valuable. Semester 1 provided the essential fundamentals required for Semester 2, while Semester 2 effectively prepared us for the project work. Overall, it offered a comprehensive learning experience, covering basic chemistry, key analytical principles, and hands-on training with analytical instruments, along with knowledge of quality assurance and quality control. This continuous progression throughout the year was particularly valuable, as it kept me motivated to develop the skills required for the pharmaceutical industry within an academic framework.  

What have you been up to since graduating from your course? 

I am currently a PhD researcher at the University of Strathclyde. I am further expanding my expertise in analytical method development and validation. My research focuses on developing and validating methods for pharmaceutical, bioanalytical, and forensic applications using advanced analytical instruments such as LC–MS/MS and GC–MS.     

How did your university experience help prepare you for your current role?

I feel fortunate that the knowledge I gained from the MSc Pharmaceutical Analysis, along with my previous professional experience, enabled me to secure a funded and sponsored PhD position at the University.
