Tell Strathclyde
Something's not going to plan? Tell us
Most students hit a point where things get harder than expected - money, health, family, loneliness, deadlines, or just the weight of it all. It's normal. What matters is that you don't carry it alone, and that we know early enough to help you.
You don't need a crisis to get in touch, and you don't need to figure things out on your own.
What's going on for you?
I'm anxious or low
Stress, can't sleep, can't switch off, feeling flat.
I'm behind or missed something
A deadline, an exam or coursework's piling up.
I feel really alone
Homesick, can't make friends, nobody to talk to.
Something happened to me
Assault, harassment, an incident I need to talk through.
Visa or immigration worries
Status, documents or something affecting your family.
I'm not safe right now
In crisis, thinking of self-harm, immediate danger.
I'm unwell or injured
Physical health, an accident, an ongoing condition.
Family or home is hard
Bereavement, caring duties, things going on at home.
Two doors, one building
Whatever's going on, you're usually doing one of two things, and often both at once.
Tell Strathclyde
Letting us know
You need to notify someone. It might be an absence, a circumstance, something that's happened to you. This protects your place, your record and your options.
- I need to miss class or an assessment
- something's affecting my ability to study
- I need to report an incident
- my circumstances have changed
Ask Strathclyde
Finding out what to do
You need information. What are your options, where do you get help, is something possible? There's no judgment and no wrong question.
- what support is available to me?
- what happens if I take time away?
- who do I talk to about this?
- is what I'm feeling normal?
