Why did you decide to study at Strathclyde?

The University of Strathclyde has had a very good partnership with my former university (Donghua University) for a long time. The international environment, multiple teaching methods and great academic atmosphere appealed to me and these are the main reasons that I chose to study at Strathclyde after two years studying at Donghua University.

What did you think about Strathclyde?

Strathclyde has a high reputation in the UK. The buildings are really beautiful. Some are historic and some are newly built and very modern. The university provides students with a good study environment and a wide range of social groups and activities. The university is also responsible for all-round development of students. My life at Strathclyde was happy and rewarding.

What did you like most about your course?

My course combined theoretical concepts of maths and stats with a wide range of application practice, such as in the financial and health areas. I could also discuss maths problems and my understanding of maths with excellent students and professors from all over the world.

What are you getting out of it?

While at Strathclyde, I met different kinds of people and made a lot of international friends. I have had rich experiences of what life is like in Scotland. The time studying maths and stats at Strathclyde was memorable and unforgettable not only in the academic area but also in daily life.

What have you done since graduating?

My plan after graduating from University of Strathclyde was to further my study in the UK as a postgraduate. I am now studying MSc Health Data Science in London School of Economics and Political Science.

What would you say to anyone considering coming to study at Strathclyde?

Glasgow is an amazing city and Strathclyde is located in the city centre. It's in a very convenient location to get to all the destinations you could want. The university has an excellent academic atmosphere, wonderful buildings, strong Scottish culture and friendly students and staff. If you decide to study at Strathclyde, you'll have made the right decision and you'll not regret it.

I am super satisfied with my experience at Strathclyde. Studying here was beneficial for my further study and work in the future. In all, it is very worthwhile to study and enjoy life at Strathclyde.
