"Katie" studied at the University of Strathclyde as an undergraduate gaining a BSc in Biochemistry & Immunology and MPhil from the Department of Immunology University of Strathclyde. She then became an RA in the Department of Immunology, before becoming HSO at the Hannah Research Institute, followed by Research Technician (Department of Biomedical Engineering) and finally and most currently Chief Technician in the Department of Biomedical Engineering.
