The Engineering Academy is a pioneering programme that offers you an alternative route into university and employment. First year offers an enhanced HNC programme with direct transfer into second year of one our engineering degrees.

Undergraduate foundation and pre-masters programmes

University of Strathclyde International Study Centre offers Undergraduate Foundation and Pre-Masters Programmes to prepare international students for entry to our degree. These preparation programmes are designed to provide you with the best opportunity to succeed in your chosen field of study. You complete a range of subject-specific modules, study skills and English language training

Distance learning

We offer one BEng and two MSc modular programmes for industry-based students from UK and overseas. We aim to provide flexible learning courses that fit in with your current job, family commitments and lifestyle. All distance learning courses are hosted online but with the advantage of tutors giving support through forums and live webinars.

Postgraduate taught degrees

We offer two specialist taught postgraduate degrees accredited by the institution of Chemical Engineers. These courses will equip you with in depth knowledge in process design, sustainable engineering and safety management practices as well as enable you to develop team-working, leadership and presentation skills.

Postgraduate research degrees

Our department is known for research excellence. It offers a variety of exciting research opportunities in topics such as Nanostructured Materials, Process Development & Monitoring and Multi-scale Simulation & Theory. You’ll have the option of studying an MRes over the course of one year or a PhD over three to four years.
