Why did you decide to study at Strathclyde University?

The contaminated land programme was recommended to me by several people and I liked the idea of working in a multi-disciplinary department.

What did you particularly enjoy about your PhD?

I had a good relationship with my supervisor, Helen Keenan, who got me involved in a number of projects.  I enjoyed being in a department with a diverse group of students, with a variety of different interests.

What do you think of the research facilities in the department?

The environmental lab has some excellent analytical equipment.

What are your career plans for the future?

I am looking for a position in industry working on contaminated land or environmental geology.

What are you doing now?

I have recently started employment as an Environmental Geologist with APC Services, LLC in Alaska.

What was the best thing about studying with us?

I really enjoyed my time being a student again! The department was very accommodating to mid-career professionals, like myself.
