Electronic & Electrical Engineering (EEE) Student Society

The EEE student society organises a number of different social events throughout the year. They're a great way to meet people and make new friends.

Events held over the last year included:

  • a lunch where Dean’s Certificates were awarded to those students who had demonstrated outstanding academic achievements
  • an orienteering event, which challenged teams of students to solve clues and complete tasks around selected venues in Glasgow
  • a charity poker night in aid of the Department’s Solar Energy project in the Gambia.

The society also organises a number of sporting events. Two 5-aside tournaments were held this year along with the inaugural EEE vs Electrical & Mechanical Engineering (EME) 11-aside football match in conjunction with the EME student society.

As well as social activities, the society has been active in helping students learn new skills. With support from the Careers Office, it organised for students to take free practice psychometric tests to help with job hunting and gain networking opportunities with a number of employers.
