2018 was the year of our 10th cohort intake, since the start of the CDT in 2009. More than 100 students have been trained in our centre, to become tomorrow's energy leaders. Our students are becoming experts in wind and marine enery systems, by receiving a full year of training and spending three years on researching a dedicated subject in the field. Apart from the technical skill, our students are also involved in public outreach, event organisation other activities that equip them with useful soft skills. The student led PETS committee has taken initiatives for chartership and diversity/inclusion actions among other things.
All this hard work has paid off and our CDT won the "Contribution to Skills Award" at the Scottish Green Energy Awards 2018.
Congratulations to all our students and staff for making this happen. Special thanks to Drew Smith and Bill Leithead.
