Annie is an inorganic chemistry PhD student who joined the Robertson group after graduating with a BSc in Chemistry from Kingston University London followed by a Masters by research at the University of Edinburgh. Her research interests include the design, synthesis and characterisation of organometallic compounds that provide benefits to the world we live in. Annie previously spent her MRes year investigating into the preparation of new polymer materials through ring-opening copolymerisation, facilitated by bimetallic catalysts. In keeping with investigation into new ways to benefit the planet, her current project involves research into the magnesium electrolytes for batteries for renewable energy.
