Research Associate
Dr Abdoul Karim Zanhouo joined the Centre for Energy as a research associate in 2022. He graduated from the African School of Economics with a specialisation in public economy and applied statistics, and completed his Ph.D. in economics at Anadolu University in Turkey, defending a dissertation entitled “Impact of climate change on households' welfare in Africa”.
His current research area includes using a CGE model to understand the economy-wide implications of the switch from fossil fuels to more environmentally friendly energy sources, such as blue and green hydrogen, in industries and transport. Previously, he worked on topics related to Geographical Indications products in EU trade agreements.
