Studying history – the story of humanity through the ages – develops our knowledge of the past to better understand the present.

You will explore histories of conflict, health, class, race, gender, migration, empire and nationalism across a range of geographical areas, including Scotland, Britain, Europe, Ireland, Russia, the Americas, Africa and South Asia.

Studying History equips students with excellent transferable skills, from evidence-based analysis to problem-solving and communication, that are very attractive to a range of employers.
