Global Mediation Clinics Conference 2025

Monday 20 October 2025

Mediation Clinics across the globe are providing vital access to justice while nurturing the next generation of mediators. These Clinics are often based in universities or legal centres, offer real-world experience for students and volunteer mediators, while delivering free or low-cost mediation services to the public. Their focus can range from community disputes and small claims to workplace, family and commercial conflicts.

Global Mediation Clinics operate within diverse cultural, and educational systems, but share a common commitment to conflict resolution, reflective practice, and ethical service. They also contribute to innovation in mediation by developing inclusive models, interdisciplinary approaches, and research-informed practice.

Development in this field shows there is an increasing value in sharing experiences, models, challenges, and successes.  We wish to inspire and strengthen existing clinics and together advance mediation education and practice worldwide.

We invited a range of contributions from educators, students, and practitioners for our next conference. Our contributors reflected diversity, cross-cultural approaches, innovation, access to justice, student experience, supervision, challenges and lessons learned in mediator education and practice across different contexts.
