Office365 ProPlus is a service available to registered students with an Office365 email account enabling them to use the latest full version of Microsoft Office.

How do I get it?

Student :

Step-by-step guides on how to download and install Office 365 ProPlus on a variety of devices are available on the Office 365 webpage.

 

Licence Agreement / Costs

Type : Site license

End Date : Renewed Annually

Licence Details :

The software will be licensed for the full duration of student's course. 
Once the student has left the University, the Microsoft Office ProPlus subscription will end.

To ensure continuous validation, students must remember to access their Office365 mailbox at least once every month.

When the student is no longer registered with the University, the office suite will enter a state of reduced functionality until a license is purchased.
When the license expires, students retain read-only access to their Microsoft Office files.

Usage :

Regisitered students are entitled to run Microsoft Student Advantage on their own personal machines, on or off campus.

Each subscription license will allow eligible students to run Office on up to five machines being Mac or PC and run Office Mobile for Android or Office Mobile for iPhone on up to 5 mobile devices without any additional cost.

32-bit Office can be installed on 32-bit or 64-bit operating systems. However 64-bit Office can only be installed on 64-bit operating system.

To find out if you have 32-bit or 64-bit Windows, click the start button, right-click Computer then click Properties, then under System Type you should see either 32-bit or 64-bit operating system.

1 GHZ or faster x86 or 64-bit processor with SSE2 instruction set.
Memory 
1 GB RAM (32-bit)  2 GB RAM (64-bit) recommended for graphics features,  Outlook Instant Search, and certain advanced functionality.

For Office Mobile for iPhone/iPod Touch:-

iPad users can download the iPhone version, however the resolution would be as detailed as applications developed for iPhone

All devices above must be running iOS 6.1 minimum
Android phones running OS 4.0 or greater (* not compatible with some Androiddevices that are not a phone)
