Your student voice at the heart of enhancement

What is Education Insight?

Education Insight is a team that covers both Student Surveys and Student Module Evaluation and works within Education Enhancement. We run a number of institutional surveys at Strathclyde as well as manage the University's Student Module Evaluation system. We read and analyse the results of these surveys and report on them to University senior management, committees, Heads of Department and course leaders. We highlight areas of concern, areas of good practice and provide in-depth, detailed information of the survey results in aggregate format for use in enhancing the student experience across the University.

Why surveys?

During your studies, you’ll have multiple opportunities to share your feedback and use your student voice – be it module evaluation, annual surveys from Education Insight, surveys from the library, Strath Union and other University services. Why should you complete these?

It helps make things better. It tells us what works and where action needs to be taken to improve the experience of students like you! We can’t change things for the better without your help. Your feedback helps us identify hotspots and good practice!

It’s not about you personally – your responses will typically be aggregated with others unless otherwise stated, so you should not be identified by your responses. You can be completely honest!

Nothing ever changes… You can’t really complain about things not improving if you’re not prepared to help! Stand up and be counted! How can things change for the better if you don’t tell us what needs to change? Take part in the Strathclyde community and help us make things better.
