Travel cover can be arranged for staff and students provided they are travelling on University business.
The schedule provides cover for journeys:
- Outside the United Kingdom
- Within the United Kingdom, but only if it involves air travel or an overnight stay
Travel cover for all domestic travel (as defined above) is automatic and no formal notification is required.
Travel cover for all foreign travel requires prior arrangement, at least five full working days prior to departure, via our electronic form available on Pegasus - Travel Notification Form .
On confirmation of cover you will be sent an email cover note providing schedule number, emergency contact details and a summary of cover provided under the University’s travel schedule.

Important:
Staff and students travelling abroad are responsible for ensuring that they are not travelling against the advice provided by the Foreign & Commonwealth Office. You will be asked, when completing the travel notification form, to confirm the advice provided by the Foreign & Commonwealth Office for the country you are travelling to.
