Tools and Resources

Strathclyde is the place of useful learning and a leading international technological University. As such, we believe that digital technologies can enhance the quality of teaching and learning. By seamlessly blending physical and digital environments, we are committed to equipping Strathclyde graduates with the attributes necessary to excel in the 21st century workplace.

STEP:Tech

Stepping Forward with Technology (STEP:TECH) is part of the Strathclyde Teaching Excellence Programme (STEP). It recognizes the strategic importance of digital technology and the responsibility of academic development to promote a concomitant culture of learning, innovation and mutual support.

STEP:TECH is envisioned as a place for staff to share their own experiences, learn and be inspited about technology-enhance teaching.

Blended/Online Module Design Toolkit

The Academic Development team at Strathclyde has developed what we would describe as an ‘inclusive approach’ to blended and online module design and re-design. The synthesises a number of key concepts and builds on existing toolkits to create a holistic framework for the design and re-design blended/online learning in higher education.

The project team are extremely grateful to Advance HE for supporting us to share these resources through a Good Practice Grant, which was awarded in 2020.

In order to ensure coherence across the University, STEP:TECH will complement and connect to other initiatives, networks and training opportunities in the University.
