Surveys at Strathclyde

Welcome to the Student Surveys!

If you're a student at Strathclyde, we have a survey for you!

The University runs a number of different surveys throughout the academic year to help us gather as much information about your experience at Strathclyde as possible. Only by listening to you can we tell what we do well and identify areas for improvement. Your feedback on your experience is important! Find out which surveys are current to you on Myplace.

The surveys we run include:

Shaping the Future - part 2

We've launched a follow up to the Shaping the Future survey that ran in January 2021. Shaping the Future - part 2 will run from the 7th June 2021 for three weeks. We want to hear from all our students about their experiences to help make informed changes to the way the University runs in the new academic year!

National Student Survey (NSS)

Final year undergraduates have the chance to provide feedback on their course in this annual national survey. All Higher Education Providers participate in this survey and the survey typically runs from January to the end of April.

Strathclyde Undergraduate Student Survey (SUSS)

All our undergraduates that are not eligible for the NSS have a chance to tell us about their experiences in the SUSS. The SUSS runs every year, from February through to April.

Postgraduate Taught Experience Survey (PTES)

Students on a postgraduate taught course are invited to provide their feedback in this annual survey, run in conjunction with Advance HE. This is a national survey that institutions can opt-in to and usually runs from February through to May.

Postgraduate Research Experience Survey (PRES)

Postgraduate students on a research course are invited to provide their feedback in this annual survey, run in conjunction with Advance HE. This is a national survey that institutions can opt-in to and usually runs from February through to May.

Graduate Outcomes Survey (GO)

The GO runs four times a year and contacts leavers 15 months after they gain their qualification. The survey asks questions about further study and career journey. This is a UK wide survey all Higher Education Providers participate in and is run by the Higher Education Statistics Agency (HESA). Student Surveys will be in touch with leavers around 6 and 12 months after they complete their course to ask for updated contact details for the GO.

Shaping the Future

We asked all our students at Strathclyde about their experiences and views on their course over semester one (Aug - Dec 2020), what worked, what needs to change and what they would like to see stay once the pandemic ends. This was a chance for our students to change the way things work at Strathclyde now and in the future!

Welcome to Strathclyde

New to Strathclyde? On an undergraduate or taught postgraduate course? Then we want to hear from you! This survey runs a few weeks after the start of every new academic year, typically in October and closes in November.
