Simulation models have a long history of supporting decision-makers in a wide range of context areas to understand how and why a system changes over time.
We have expertise in applying multiple types of simulation, using the most appropriate for the problem at hand – whether that is using simulation to consider macro-level strategic issues or to understand the micro-level movement or behaviour of individual people in the system, or a combination of both.
We have built models for, and provided insights to, a range of public and private sector organisations and have developed new methodological approaches as part of this work. The process of developing simulation models provides understanding to organisations about problems they are facing and the systems in which they exist. Models can be used to determine the specific problems that need to be addressed and identify key contributing factors. Models can also be used to test potential interventions and policy changes, exploring their over time impact, and possible unintended consequences, on the system in a risk free environment.
