Key research projects SAFEMODE

Strengthening synergies between aviation and maritime in the area of human factors towards achieving more efficient and resilient modes of transportation

Overview

SAFEMODE is a three-year research and innovation action funded by the H2020 programme (Grant Agreement: 814961). The project brings together a strong consortium consisting of industry, academia, within the aviation and maritime sectors with the aim of consolidating best practices for human factors in transport safety. The project is operating with an overall budget of nearly €10 million which includes in-kind contributions from a number of partners. The University of Strathclyde is coordinating the maritime partners in the project.

The Consortium

The SAFEMODE consortium brings together experience from the whole safety value chain. Manufacturers, service providers, regulators, academia and small-medium enterprises will collaborate to integrate human factors into safety and deliver safer transport systems.
