Research Interests
I have projects underway on: (i) the internationalization of retail firms in emerging markets; (ii) international retailing in the first global economy; (iii) market system dynamics and market shaping in various contexts. As such, my work sits within the 'Organization, Markets, Networks & Innovation' research cluster in the Department of Marketing.
My research is published in journals such as Business History Review, Business History, Work, Employment and Society, Journal of Business Research, Journal of International Marketing, International Business Review, European Journal of Marketing and International Marketing Review.
I am an Associate Editor of the International Marketing Review. I also sit on the editorial review boards of the European Journal of Marketing and Journal of Marketing Management. I have been a recipient of the European Journal of Marketing Outstanding Reviewer of the Year Award. I have edited numerous special issues of the International Marketing Review, European Journal of Marketing and the Journal of Marketing Management. Currently, I am editing special issues of EJM and JMM, both of which will be published in 2023.
