Personal statement

As Deputy Faculty Manager in the Faculty of Science, I lead on strategy, policy, and procedures relating to Quality Assurance, Learning Enhancement, and the student experience. My role includes managing Boards of Examiners and Academic Appeals, as well as undertaking investigations into student complaints. I also represent the Faculty on a range of institutional committees and working groups. I am line manager to our team of Faculty Officers (whose remit covers education, apprenticeship compliance, research and knowledge exchange) and to our Learning Technologies team. I have worked at the University since 2004, initially joining as a Recruitment Officer in the Recruitment and International Office, where I focused on UK and EU markets. I subsequently undertook a one-year secondment in Admissions, leading a coordinated admissions project, before moving to the Faculty of Science as Assistant Faculty Manager in 2012.
