Personal statement
As Data Protection Officer my role involves: responsibility for ensuring legislative compliance with ‘access to information’ legislation i.e. Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act, Environmental Information (Scotland) Regulations and data protection legislation; developing and implementing institutional policies, procedures and guidance in relation to access to information legislation; developing and promoting improved records management practice across the University as a whole, including provision of a records storage service in the University Records Centre.
