Personal statement

I am Faculty Manager for Strathclyde Business School, a post I have held on an interim basis since March 23 (confirmed March 24). The role of Faculty Manager is a key post that provides senior management support to the Faculty, working to support the Executive Dean and Vice Deans in delivering the overall strategic development of the School. The post has significant remit and responsibility for strategic development and implementation, the management of resources and operations, the development and implementation of policies and procedures, and quality assurance and enhancement, including leading Schoolwide accreditations. Previously I worked as Senior Faculty Officer (Strategic Projects), a role supporting the SBS Executive Dean in delivering the ambitious Vision 2025 through the design and management of a programme of workstreams and projects, as well as supporting operational delivery by providing advice and support predominantly in areas such as staffing, estates and overall University policy and procedures. My initial role at Strathclyde was as Department Manager for the Hunter Centre for Entrepreneurship, managing the day-to-day activities of the Department across the three main areas – teaching, research and knowledge exchange, whilst inputting and supporting the Head of Department in implementing the overall strategy of the Department. I graduated in 2013 with a MBA (with distinction) from Strathclyde Business School, studying through the part time route. I also have a degree in Business Management from the University of Glasgow.
