Mr Robert Lawrie

Personal statement

Robert Lawrie leads the Faculty of Science office team and supports the Faculty Executive and Faculty Management teams. This includes providing high level advice to the Executive Dean on Faculty strategy, planning and resources, and leading on governance for the Faculty. Robert also leads on the management of the interface between the Faculty’s Professional Services and the Professional Services Directorates of the University, representing the Faculty at senior levels within the University. When he joined Strathclyde in June 2018, he was responsible as Department Manager, for providing leadership, management, and strategic direction across all operational activities within the Department of Mathematics and Statistics. From 2003 to 2018, Robert was at the University of Edinburgh, first as Director of Scholarships and Student Funding, and then as Director of Student Administrative Services. He is a Fellow of the Chartered Management Institute.
