Personal statement
I am a Research Fellow in the Advanced Electrical Systems Group within the Institute for Energy and Environment at the University of Strathclyde. I am also affiliated with and carry out work in collaboration with the UK Energy Research Centre. My research spans the technical, regulatory and market challenges associated with delivering a decarbonised electricity system. Focus areas include offshore transmission systems for the integration of large scale renewables, year round modelling of the future GB power system and work on electricity market design options. I have a particular interest in investigating constraint management options for renewable energy in Scotland to ensure maximum utilisation of renewable resources.
