Personal statement
Abhilash is a Research Associate (Smart Manufacturing) in the Centre for Precision Manufacturing (CPM) at the University of Strathclyde (Glasgow). His research interests are smart manufacturing, condition monitoring, adaptive process control, AI/ML applications in manufacturing including signal/image processing, digital manufacturing, micro machining, and non-traditional manufacturing. He received his Ph.D. from the Indian Institute of Technology Palakkad (India) in 2021 (Ph.D. coursework from the Indian Institute of Technology Madras). He obtained his Master’s degree in the discipline of Engineering Design (first rank at the university level) from Amrita University (India). He worked at Flowserve India Controls Ltd. as a project engineer from 2012 to 2013. From 2015 to 2018, he worked as an Assistant Professor at the Sreepathy Institute of Management and Technology (INDIA). He has 10+ journal articles in peer-reviewed and reputed international journals.
