Personal statement

I have been a member of the Computer & Information Sciences Department since 2001. As the Departmental Administrator I am responsible for managing our Departmental Research and Knowledge Exchange committees and our Industrial Advisory Board, and for collating research data for the national Research Excellent Framework submissions. I am currently a member of the Association of University Administrators (AUA) and regularly attend a variety of workshops and conferences throughout the year. The AUA provides me with an excellent support network and the opportunity to share and promote best practice within the Higher Education Sector. My interests are in promoting business process improvement within the University and I currently hold a LEAN Six Sigma Yellow Belt award with Distinction. I have recently completed an Institute of Leadership and Management Award through the University’s Organisational and Development Unit.
