Personal statement

Dr. Andy TC Wong received the BEng degree in Industrial Engineering and the MPhil and PhD degrees in Operations Research from the University of Hong Kong. Apart from being a fellow of HEA, he is a member of IEEE and BAM which both are leading academic communities in the world. Also, he is a senior member and UK representative of Hong Kong Society for Quality (HKSQ). Prior to joining the University of Strathclyde as Lecturer, he worked at the City University of Hong Kong for more than 5 years. He has published over 50 journal and conference papers in the area of Management Science/Operations Research/Soft Computing. He is a reviewer of several International Journals such as International Journal of Production Research, IIE Transactions, Decision Support Systems, etc. At the moment, he is leading a number of research and KTP projects and acts as lead supervisor of 8 PhD/EngD students in a variety of management areas, e.g. quality management, capability management, supply chain management, human resource management, and remanufacturing management.
