Q & A with Christopher from Burnhouse Engineering
What made you choose a Graduate Apprenticeship over a traditional degree?
I valued gaining industry skills and a degree more than just a degree, to give me a better kickstart to my career.
How did your course support your career development?
It allowed me to become Professionally Registered, run engineering projects and move into a Directors role.
What did you enjoy most about the course?
I wouldn’t say there was one thing. I definitely valued the time on campus more, meeting up with everyone once a month, more than anything.
What support did you receive from the University?
I couldn’t fault the support from the University, every time I had a question or query everyone was very accommodating to support me.
What advice would you give to anyone considering a Graduate Apprenticeship?
It is 100x better than what I would have thought. it isn’t an easy four years, but the reward is definitely worth it.
