“After leaving school in the early 1980s I forged a successful career in IT which spanned over 25 years. However, I regretted not going to University, which wasn’t as accessible in those days. In 2016 I decided to have a career change and whilst temping at Strathclyde University I came across a pamphlet for Pre-Entry Course.
The Pre-Entry Access Course was a game changer for me as it allowed me to realise a lifelong ambition of experiencing university life, achieve a first-class honours degree in History (and a prize for most distinguished mature student!) and take my career in a new direction, it was one of the best things I have ever done!
I am currently considering returning to Strathclyde for a Msc in Historical Studies and would like to work in Historical Research/Archives.”
