Project Details
Strathclyde Business School’s newly formed Stephen Young Institute (SYI) conducts research in international business, sustainable business, sustainable innovation and social impact.
Inspired by the work of our namesake, Prof. Stephen Young, a former professor of Strathclyde Business School’s Marketing Department, SYI focuses on relationships between people and organisations in value networks in an international business context.
This is an exciting opportunity to be part of the beginning of the Stephen Young Institute as it launches into the world. As the Institute grows, our doctoral researchers will play a key role in building our expertise through their research and by building connections with businesses, non-profits and policymakers based in Scotland, the UK and across the globe. Their projects will seek to understand and impact value networks with a focus on equality and sustainability, and achieving business value outcomes that balance people, planet and profit. Research topics may include organisations operating in low-medium income countries, businesses large and small that are focusing on sustainable international business, and partnerships for sustainable innovation.
Funding details
Fully-funded scholarship for 3 years covers all university tuition fees and an annual tax-free stipend at UKRI stipend rate for UK students. Some discretionary additional funding from SYI may be available to support international research projects.
While there is no funding in place for opportunities marked "unfunded", there are lots of different options to help you fund postgraduate research. Visit funding your postgraduate research for links to government grants, research councils funding and more, that could be available.
