Summary

The Faculty of Humanities & Social Sciences is delighted to offer a number of scholarships to students from the United States of America, who have graduated from or are due to graduate from a Community College with a 2 Year Associate Degree, minimum CGPA 3.0 in a relevant Humanities/Social Sciences subject and who are interested in applying to year 3 of our 4 BA (Honours) Humanities and Social Sciences degree.

The scholarships will be awarded on merit, rather than financial need, to candidates who demonstrate in their UCAS application, potential to succeed in their chosen programme. (This may include academic performance (current and/or previously gained) where grades may be available, or academic references where non-standard qualifications are being taken, responses to UCAS application form questions and any relevant extra-curricular personal development or experience).

All eligible applicants will be automatically considered for an award, therefore no separate scholarship application is required. Scholarships will be awarded on a rolling basis and awards may be allocated early in the application cycle, so an early application for admission is advised.  The scholarship will be applied as a tuition fee discount to each eligible year of undergraduate study.

Please note: Community Colleges must be recognised by the American Association of Community Colleges and appropriately accredited by a body recognised by the US Department of Education.

Eligibility
