Summary

Scholarships of £6,000 are available to new international fee-paying students joining an eligible postgraduate taught masters degree in the Faculty of Science in January 2027.

The scholarship will be awarded automatically to eligible students on receipt of deposit payment until 30th November. No separate scholarship application is necessary. 

Eligibility

In order to be considered for a Faculty of Science International Masters Scholarship – January intake, candidates must:

  • be a new, international (non-EU) fee-paying student enrolling on an on-campus, full-time taught masters degree in the Faculty of Science in January 2027
  • Be self-funded. Students who receive full sponsorship, for example from a government office or embassy are not eligible to receive this scholarship.

Terms and conditions

  • Applicants must meet all of the above eligibility criteria to receive a Faculty of Science International Masters Scholarship – January intake.
  • Awardees must register on an on-campus Masters degree in the Faculty of Science for January 2027 entry and continue to meet all of the above eligibility criteria.
  • This scholarship value is £6,000 and will be deducted from your tuition fees.
  • The scholarship will be awarded automatically to eligible students on receipt of deposit payment until 30th November. No separate scholarship application is necessary.
  • The scholarship cannot be deferred or transferred to any other entry points. It cannot be used for payment of a deposit.
  • Online degrees, postgraduate certificates and postgraduate diplomas are not eligible for these scholarships.
  • Students are only eligible for one scholarship per academic year from the University of Strathclyde.
  • The Faculty of Science’s decision on the awarding of scholarships is final. Appeals will not be considered.

How to apply

All new postgraduate taught masters students who register for an on-campus masters degree in the Faculty of Science in January 2027 and who meet the eligibility criteria will receive the scholarship.

No separate scholarship application is necessary.
