The HaSS RUK Undergraduate Performance Sport Scholarship aims to enable talented student-athletes who are regularly competing at International level to follow a dual career. Consequently, the programme provides academic flexibility (where feasible), World-Class sports science and medical support, and financial assistance towards training and competition costs.

The Performance Sport Scholarship Programme is offered on a one-year renewable basis based on the Performance Sport Panel’s review of applications each year.

Performance Sport Scholars are provided with a comprehensive support package equating to a cash equivalent of up to £6,250 per year.

Dean's International Excellence Award - Postgraduate Taught: Humanities and Social Sciences - January 2022

To recognise academic achievement, the Dean's International Excellence Award - Postgraduate Taught - January 2022 offers all qualified international postgraduate students a merit-based scholarship of £4,000 towards the first year of tuition fees of a full-time Masters programme in the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences. This is available for programmes starting in January 2022 only.

Data Lab Scholarship for MSc Urban Policy & Analysis and MSc Data Science for Politics & Policymaking

5 full tuition scholarships are available for MSc Data Science for Politics & Policymaking and 3 full tuition scholarships are available for MSc Urban Policy & Analysis for the 2021/22 academic year. These scholarships are available to new Scottish/EU students joining these courses. These scholarships have been made possible with funding from the Data Lab, Scottish Funding Council and the European Social Fund.

Applicants will be considered for this scholarship using the information provided on the application form and will be awarded on a competitive basis using the statement of motivation. Please be sure to reference the 'Data Lab Scholarship' in your application.

The Allan and Nesta Ferguson Charitable Trust was set up in 1979 by their son and daughter in law, John and Elnora. Its objectives have closely followed the interests of the Ferguson family in their commitment to education, peace and development in the Third World. In 1997, the substantial holding of Taylor and Francis shares became valuable when the publishing company was floated, and its subsequent merger with Informa further enhanced the value of the shares in the Trust. Over the last 15 years, more than £30 million has been distributed to a range of charities working in the UK and overseas.

The Trust will only provide a one-off grant to postgraduate PhD students in their final year of study, therefore if you have received a grant previously you are not eligible to apply again, even if you require funding to help with a different course.

The Trust does not support students undertaking a postgraduate diploma/certificate, or Masters degree (such as an MA, MSc, MBA, LLM, MEd, Mphil, Mres).
