Summary

We are delighted to offer scholarships to all eligible postgraduate taught Masters, self-funded, international (non-EU) fee-paying offer holders, joining a full-time, on-campus, course in the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences in January 2027.

The scholarships will be awarded to the value of £6,000 or £8,000.

The scholarships will be awarded automatically upon confirmation of payment of deposit and this must be paid by the scholarship deadline date.

All eligible international offer holders will automatically be considered for a scholarship, therefore, no separate scholarship application is required.

Eligibility

The scholarship is open now for all international (non-EU) Postgraduate Taught Masters students joining eligible programmes within the Faculty of Humanities & Social Sciences in January 2027.

Scholarship amounts:

  • £8,000 for Masters programmes in the Law School.
  • £6,000 for all other eligible courses.

Important things to note

  • Applications are not necessary and you will automatically be considered upon confirmation of payment of deposit.
  • To be considered for a scholarship an applicant must hold an offer to study a full-time attendance course in the 2027 academic year.
  • Scholarships are awarded on fulfilment of your offer conditions.
  • Deposits must be paid be the scholarship deadline date.
  • Students are only eligible for one scholarship per academic year from the University of Strathclyde.
  • Online, blended learning programmes, PG Certificates and PG Diplomas are not eligible for these scholarships.
  • To receive their scholarship, awardees must enrol in studies commencing in January 2027 and continue to meet all of the above eligibility criteria.
  • Scholarships are non-transferable and will be forfeited if the recipient defers their admission to a later academic year or transfers to a different programme or Faculty after enrolment.
  • Scholarship recipients will be expected to engage with student ambassador activities during their course of study, such as supporting student recruitment activities and events.
  • Available for self-funded, international (non-EU) fee-paying offer holders only.
  • The Faculty of Humanities & Social Sciences’ decision on the awarding of scholarships is final.
