Summary

Strathclyde Business School is pleased to offer a number of Dean's Excellence Awards to international students joining one of our Postgraduate Taught Masters programmes in January 2027. The scholarships, worth between £10,000 and £12,000 will be awarded on merit, rather than financial need, to candidates who demonstrate in their programme application, excellent academic performance and any relevant extra-curricular or professional experience (applicants are encouraged to provide a CV with their programme application, highlighting any work experience, internships and/or voluntary work).

All eligible international offer holders will automatically be considered for a scholarship and contacted before 30 November 2026 if successful. A separate scholarship application is not required.

Important things to note

Candidates must be self-funded (ie. not in receipt of any funding from any other scholarships, employer sponsorship, etc) and already hold an offer of a place on an SBS MSc programme for the January 2027 intake and also be deemed International with regards to Fee Status.

Students are only eligible for one scholarship per academic year from the University of Strathclyde.

Online and blended learning programmes are not eligible for these scholarships.

Scholarships will be awarded on a rolling basis from June 2026 onwards and the deadline for consideration of applications will be 30th November 2026.

Strathclyde Business School's decision on the awarding of scholarships is final.

Scholarship awardees will also be expected to engage with a variety of activities during their course of study, including:

Monitoring and contributing to future applicant forums and responding with information regarding the relevant course
Taking an active role in either the social committee or class rep committee
Volunteering as an admissions contact for prospective students
Assisting the school in the development and management of events

Retaining alumni communication post MSc completion
