When you apply for university and completing your application through UCAS, there is a question that asks if you have been in care.
We understand that some students worry about how disclosing their past might affect their application, while others prefer a fresh start. These concerns are completely valid. However, ticking the box can be an important step toward receiving the right support, and we want to reassure you that it is viewed positively. This will allow universities to take into consideration that your education may have been disrupted and offer you additional support.
We will get in touch with you when we receive your application and keep in contact should you wish to offer information and support throughout the UCAS cycle.
