
Glasgow Tech Week is helping to cement the city’s position as a dynamic and thriving technology ecosystem and Scotland’s leading city of innovation.
A series of more than 40 events, held from 26 to 31 May, brought together innovators, industry leaders, founders, investors, researchers and freelancers from across the UK and beyond and provided the latest insights, innovations, and strategic discussions that are shaping the future of our critical industries.
More than 80 innovation ecosystem partners hosted a wide range of activities, including techUK, BAFTA, Shepherd and Wedderburn, NHS Scotland, IBM, Accenture, JPMorgan Chase, Barclays, and KPMG. There was a wide variety on offer, from cutting-edge demos and panel discussions to networking receptions and skills workshops, the city was alive with ideas, energy, and opportunity.
Organised by Glasgow City Innovation District (GCID), this year’s Glasgow Tech Week highlighted the collaborative strength of the region’s tech sector. Events took place in venues across the city giving attendees the opportunity to discover new spaces, reflecting the diversity and depth of Glasgow’s innovation landscape.
Collaborative spirit

Glasgow Tech Week championed the breadth of innovation taking place across the city, putting key tech industries in the spotlight including, AI, robotics, Health Tech and FinTech. Highlights included the launch of new products, opportunities for startups and investors to connect, vibrant community-led events designed to engage and offer free advice to the next generation of tech talent.
As GCID continues to grow its reputation as one of the UK’s leading innovation district, the success of this year’s Glasgow Tech Week reinforces the city’s commitment to fostering inclusive, sustainable growth through innovation and entrepreneurship.
Plans are already underway for Glasgow Tech Week 2026 which will take place from 7 to 11 September 2026, with GCID aiming to grow the platform further and continue building on the success of this year.
