What is the EEC?

The Exploring Entrepreneurship Challenge is your chance to

  • gain new skills with a free online entrepreneurial learning toolkit
  • collaborate with students to create an idea for a sustainable future
  • develop your idea with mentors, boosting your employability
  • pitch your idea and compete for £2k prize money

Who is it for?

Everyone. You don’t need any previous experience, or to have an idea or team in mind before you begin.

EEC 2024-25 will begin in September. To secure your place, sign up now.

What can I expect?

September

Complete a free online toolkit in your own time, learning how to take an entrepreneurial approach to solving problems. Celebrate completing training with a certificate and an in-person graduation event.

October

In the second stage, join a team and collaborate with students to generate ideas for a sustainable future.

November

Perfect and submit your pitch. Three teams will be chosen to compete for a prize fund of £2,000.

The final

The final of the competition will take place in Spring 2025, where the winners will be named at an awards ceremony in Glasgow.

I’ve got to meet people from different backgrounds, people who are studying different things, and we’ve had the opportunity to bring our brains together and come up with some amazing ideas. The biggest thing I’ve learned is that entrepreneurship is not just about starting a business, but it’s actually your mindset and who you are as a person.

Natasha Chitambo is studying Law & Human Resource Management and was part of the team who won the EEC in 2023-24.
