Context

The Communication Cell (Comm Cell) was requested after a team member attended the Continuous Improvement Lean for Leaders course. The Sustainability Team identified the need to more effectively communicate as a team, especially around day to day activities and viewed the Comm Cell as a positive opportunity to further enhance the overall effectiveness of the team.

What changes were implemented?

• A short, daily team meeting
• Performance measures
• A platform to give all team members an equal voice
• Improved communication and knowledge sharing
• An opportunity to focus on continuous improvement
