Findlay Black, Project Manager
Findlay is a qualified accountant with over four decades of experience in a number of varying roles spanning audit, financial accounting, and strategic project management. His career began at KPMG, where he honed his expertise as an auditor before transitioning into financial accounting roles with prominent organisations including the Weir Group, Oki, and ACCA.
Building on his financial foundation, Findlay moved into project management, taking on key roles at ACCA and the National Australia Group. In 2015, he joined Strathclyde Business School as Operations Manager for its prestigious triple-accredited MBA programme, overseeing delivery both on campus and across a global network of international centres.
In 2021, Findlay stepped back into a strategic project management role, driving high-impact initiatives for the Business School, including the set-up of a new campus in Dubai and the management of the Financial Regulation Innovation Lab (FRIL) where innovation in financial regulation is accelerated. Most recently, in August 2025, he joined the University's Project Management Office (PMO), where he leads the delivery of a transformative HR and payroll system.
