Graham Christie, Head of Programme Delivery 

Graham is an experienced change management professional with a proven track record of delivering digital change initiatives in a higher education setting. Most recently, he led a multi-year cloud transformation programme. In addition to leading projects and programmes, he mentors and supports project managers and project boards.

With a keen interest in ensuring change initiatives are benefits-led and demonstrate impact, Graham led the development of a benefits management framework to support the implementation of the Digital Strategy.

He has extensive governance experience acquired through his role as committee manager for the University’s senior digital committee.

An effective communicator and facilitator, Graham has held various learning and development roles in the private and public sector prior to joining Strathclyde.

Evelyn Trearty, Head of Programme Governance

Evelyn is an experienced Business Change Manager with a passion for developing governance and project management practices to support Digital Strategies. Her responsibilities include working closely with key stakeholders across the university to ensure Digital Strategy projects are aligned with corporate objectives and focused on achieving benefits.

Evelyn is an excellent communicator and collaborator, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholder at all levels of the university. She leads the power platform user groups, encouraging users across the university to use digital tools to streamline their processes and improve their productivity. Evelyn is committed to delivering high-quality results and is always looking for new ways to innovate and improve.

Evelyn has worked at the university since 2007 and has experience in leading and managing complex change initiatives. She has recently led the business change needed to successfully introduce several new digital tools as part of the cloud transformation programme.

Findlay Black, Project Manager

Findlay is a qualified accountant with over four decades of experience in a number of varying roles spanning audit, financial accounting, and strategic project management. His career began at KPMG, where he honed his expertise as an auditor before transitioning into financial accounting roles with prominent organisations including the Weir Group, Oki, and ACCA.

Building on his financial foundation, Findlay moved into project management, taking on key roles at ACCA and the National Australia Group. In 2015, he joined Strathclyde Business School as Operations Manager for its prestigious triple-accredited MBA programme, overseeing delivery both on campus and across a global network of international centres.

In 2021, Findlay stepped back into a strategic project management role, driving high-impact initiatives for the Business School, including the set-up of a new campus in Dubai and the management of the Financial Regulation Innovation Lab (FRIL) where innovation in financial regulation is accelerated. Most recently, in August 2025, he joined the University's Project Management Office (PMO), where he leads the delivery of a transformative HR and payroll system.

Neil Brown, Project Manager

Neil has over 30 years' of experience in the innovation, academia and service sectors and is an experienced project, programme & change manager.

He joined the PMO team at Strathclyde in 2025, having worked in a programme management role previously at The Scotland 5G Centre, also within Strathclyde, delivering projects to scale up the deployment & adoption of 5G connectivity in industry & public sectors, and has also worked at the University of Edinburgh in similar roles within data innovation & digital curation environments. Neil also had a previous spell at Strathclyde as a Programme Manager within the EEE department.

Neil is currently managing the Financial Systems Cloud Project which is currently scheduled to run until the end of 2027. 

Yvonne Brown, Programme Coordinator 

 Yvonne joined the PMO team in 2025 and provides professional coordination and administrative support throughout the lifecycle of projects and the wider University transformation programme.  She plays a key role in the effective delivery of a range of strategic committees and supports the smooth running of projects using a range of innovative technologies to support process improvements.  She works collaboratively and engages with a range of stakeholders at all levels across the University including Senior Officers. 

Yvonne has a keen interest and is qualified in Project Management.  She is highly organised and proactive with excellent planning and interpersonal skills.  

Yvonne has worked at the University since 1996 providing Executive Assistant support to the Director of Information Services for over 20 years, and previously in the Engineering Faculty.  

Leighton Gray, Project Co-ordinator

Leighton joined the team in 2025 and is assisting Research and Knowledge Exchange Services (RKES) with the Research Award Management Systems project. 

Leighton has a background in projects, communications, and research in Irish charities. Most recently, they managed the research and development of a learning platform. They worked closely with academics and IT experts to create free online courses for young people, supporting their emotional skills and mental wellbeing.

They have a diploma in project management, an MA in gender studies and a BA in sociology and English literature.

John Palmer, Engagement & Training Officer

John has over 30 years’ experience in the IT industry in both the public and private sectors, encompassing roles in technical support, business analysis, software consultancy, and training and learning support. He joined Strathclyde in 2006 and has extensive experience of developing and delivering learning support for IT-related projects.

John played a key role in the recent Cloud Transformation Programme developing the resources required to support the University’s move to M365 and the new digital tools introduced during the programme.

Dedicated to creating and delivering quality learning resources, John’s current role focuses on the Microsoft Power platform tools and the crucial contribution these tools will make to the University’s Digital Strategy.

Graham Thom, Project Adminstrator

Graham has over 15 years' of experience in administrative and customer facing roles in a university environment and the fitness industry. 

He joined the Programme Management Office at Strathclyde in 2025, having previously worked in an administrative role at The Scotland 5G Centre, also within Strathclyde, mainly supporting the finance and operations departments with the delivery of projects to scale up the deployment and adoption of 5G in industry and public sectors.

Graham is currently assisting on the Financial Systems Cloud Project.

Lisa Toon, Project Manager

Lisa is an experienced learning and development professional with a passion for working with people to achieve desired outcomes.

A graduate of Strathclyde Business School, Lisa has worked in the private, public, and charitable sectors in a variety of roles involving training, business change, business development, communications, and stakeholder engagement.

Lisa has worked at the University since 2017 and has been involved with several business change projects, engaging with stakeholders to ensure smooth transitions to new processes, procedures, and systems. Lisa is currently managing the Digital Accessibility project, which aims to improve accessibility across the University's website and other portals.
