Jane Yin Wang

MSc Business Analysis & Consulting, 2012
Executive Assistant at Frog Global (Shanghai)

It has been more than one year since I graduated from the University of Strathclyde. I was always asked by friends and family what exactly I got from my study there and I always say it is not a simple question. It has been so important part in my whole life and impacted me in such a significant way that my life would never be the same.

I think one of the biggest benefits I got is the ability to think logically and independently. It has become my habit to ask myself what is the problem I am facing, and then seek effective information to structure the problem while being critical to the data I get. As a CEO assistant, it is crucial for me to filter the information and provide valuable suggestions to help with decision making. The practical case studies during my studies and the apprenticeship opportunity I had with Morgan Stanley definitely strengthened my capability to think.

In addition to the practical study, I appreciated the unlimited support I could get from my professors and fellow students. They are lovely people and always eager to help. I enjoyed and cherished the whole demanding but joyful time in Strathclyde.

If all you want is just a piece of paper or an effortless study, this may be not your choice, but if you want to get out of your comfort zone, stretch and challenge yourself, I strongly recommend this course to you.
