Marketing Department 50th Anniversary Fundraiser

We are all so proud of reaching the remarkable milestone of 50 years of our Marketing Department at Strathclyde Business School. As each one of our past and current staff and students have been so important in our journey we invite you to take part in our fundraiser event.

Knowledge and education is something we have all been privileged to enjoy here in the Marketing Department, some in the delivery of education, some as students and alumni while others benefit from both.

To mark our Golden Anniversary, we want to give something back and invite you to donate to our nominated charities. Each one reflects a different aspect of our ethos and values. Please take the time to read about our three charities.

SAMH (Scottish Association for Mental Health)

SAMH is Scotland’s national mental health charity. Today, in over 60 communities they work with adults and young people providing mental health social care support, services in primary care, schools and further education, among others. These services together with their national programme work in See Me, respectme, suicide prevention and active living; inform our policy and campaign work to influence positive social change.

Trussell Trust

The Trussell Trust supports a nationwide network of food banks and together, they provide emergency food and support to people locked in poverty, and campaign for change to end the need for food banks in the UK. In the UK, more than 14 million people are living in poverty – including 4.5 million children. The Trussell Trust supports more than 1,200 food bank centres in the UK to provide a minimum of three days’ nutritionally balanced emergency food to people who have been referred in crisis, as well as support to help people resolve the crises they face.

Prince's Trust

We believe that every young person should have the chance to embrace exciting opportunities. So, we help 11 to 30 year-olds to find the tools and confidence to try free courses and start careers.
The Trust has helped 1,000,000 young people to date and supports more and more each day. More than three in four will start something amazing moving into jobs, education and training.
We are open to young people aged 11 to 30 from all over the UK - no matter if they have been facing some serious issues such as homelessness or if they've been in trouble with the law. If they're willing to aim high - we are here.
We have returned £1.4 billion in value to society through our help for young people over a period of just ten years.
We work with delivery partners across the UK to offer hundreds of free courses, grants and mentoring opportunities to inspire young people to build their confidence and start a career. We will be there to support them to achieve their full potential.
