Becoming involved
The primary goal of the Risk Consortium is to support industry in becoming more efficient by developing tools for effective decision making. The activities that the Consortium have become involved with are wide and varied. However, they are all characterised by knowledge exchange between problem owners and Strathclyde researchers. The Risk Consortium will continue to develop this relationship in order to develop our academic research into commercial application for our business and government partners.
Collaboration can be achieved through the Risk Consortium in a number of ways.
Technical support
The Risk Consortium offers access to short-term technical support. The scope of this work varies with each project and can last between a few weeks and a few months.
Research projects
These short projects can often lead to longer research projects. If you wish to take part in research projects, the Risk Consortium can offer the structure and support needed to undertake such a project, potentially giving access to government funding through, for example, EPSRC and Technology Strategy Board.
Training courses
Short training courses are offered to introduce decision makers to the fundamentals of decision analysis and quantitative risk analysis
Helpdesk
A 'helpdesk' will be setup to offer industry immediate support.
