Design, Manufacturing & Engineering ManagementPatipat Archana: Glasgow - parks

Let's go to the park!

Walking, jogging, picnicking, cycling, sleeping - there are lots of things you can do in the park. You can spend time in the outdoors and enjoy historical sites hidden inside the numerous parks.

I have been to five famous parks in Glasgow:

  • Kelvingrove
  • Glasgow Green
  • Alexandra Park
  • Pollok Country Park (where you can find Highland cows)
  • Seven Loch Wetlands Park

I go to Alexandra Park at least twice a week as it's near my accommodation and always find that it has amazing pathways for jogging.

Complete tranquility

One of my best memories is also linked to the one of these parks - Seven Lochs Wetland Park which is three-and-a-half miles away from the city of Glasgow. My friend and I decided to rent bikes to get there, and it took us around eight hours for our trip (10am to 6pm!).

I loved the biking trail as I could peacefully enjoy wildlife, plants and greenery. It was a place where anyone could feel at one with nature and experience complete tranquillity.
