Our city
If you're coming to study with us, you'll be sure of a warm Scottish welcome!
We're based in the centre of Glasgow, the largest and liveliest city in Scotland, a country renowned for engineering excellence, cosmopolitan cities and stunning natural beauty.
Glasgow is a proud and vibrant city and one of the most welcoming in the world. It's a great city to live in, with great places to eat out, and world-class music, museums, culture and sport to enjoy. Glasgow - close to the beautiful landscape of Scotland’s west coast and with the Highlands and Islands less than an hour away - offers fantastic opportunities to explore the great outdoors.

Our global partners - international exchanges
The Department of Design, Manufacturing & Engineering Management works with partners across Europe, Asia and the USA.
Not only do we welcome students from across the world to Glasgow, but our home students have the opportunity to take part in some fantastic exchanges and visits to our partner institutions abroad.
Our students
Each year, we welcome international students from over 20 countries to join our vibrant international community.
Our students enjoy being part of a welcoming and friendly department, with internationally recognised staff and programmes alongside access to world-class facilities.
Whichever course you decide to study, our students are supported from the application stage, throughout the duration of their studies, and beyond when our graduates join our international alumni network.

Working together
We welcome and encourage opportunities to form new partnerships with students, academics and institutions across the world.
There are several ways in which such partnerships can be formed:
- setting up a joint educational partnership (eg agreements on articulation, joint courses, student exchange)
- setting up a joint research partnership
- collaborating on projects
If you're interested in working with us, please send us an email.
Our staff also visit many different countries and events throughout the year, for example the New Designers show in London, where we meet prospective English students.
