PhD student presents on erosion behaviour of rubber

In September 2019 senior lecturer Dr Liu Yang and PhD student Wichain Chailad attended the International Rubber Conference, held at the Kia Oval in London. The theme of this year's conference was “Innovations in Elastomeric Materials and Products”; a number of technical advances in the global rubber market were well presented. Wichain, a first-year PhD candidate, shared his results to date in his presentation 'Investigation of Erosion Behaviour of Rubber Liner Materials under Sand Particle Slurry', which was held in the section on friction and erosion of rubber. Liu and Wichain also attended talks in a number of relevant and related sessions such as filler reinforcement (-carbon/-silica) and self-healing and ionic elastomers.
