New PhD students join ACG

Early 2019 sees three new students begin their composites research

As ever we are pleased to welcome new PhD students to the ACG: Sheik Malik, Miguel Ubago Torres and Shima Dayarian have all joined us in early 2019. Shima is supervised by Dr Liu Yang, whilst both Malik and Miguel will work with Dr Meisam Jalalvand.

Shima will look to further the ACG's activities in the area of synthesis and parametric study of novel aerogel composites.

Miguel's research will look at additive layers for avoiding/delaying delamination in composite materials.

Malik will work on hybrid composites for wind turbine blade applications.
